One of the most critical aspects of a student’s experience in a Coldwater Wilderness Course is their instructor. The leaders we have will undoubtedly influence how we view our circumstances- both the challenges and the opportunities. We take great pride in our instructors. They come to Coldwater and fully immerse themselves in their training, which is rigorous and demanding. The training for a Coldwater leader lasts for six weeks and includes a 21-day Wilderness Leadership Expedition. They also complete a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course, taught by a nationally recognized Wilderness Medical School. Coldwater leaders care about their students and take the time to get to know them. They work diligently to provide great learning experiences for each student.
